With the 2010-2011 school year in full swing, we can briefly pause to reflect on the past and look to the future...
T.E.A. OFFICIAL ACCOUNTABILITY RATINGS-
STATE ACCOUNTABILITY 2009-2010:
HS- Exemplary
MS, Elementary, and District- Recognized
ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS (FEDERAL) 2009-2010:
All three campuses and the district are rated as “meets AYP”
SCHOOLS F.I.R.S.T. (FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY 2008-09):
Superior Achievement, score 78/80
All of these ratings will be disclosed in detail at future public meetings as required.
This marks the third consecutive year that the District is rated as Recognized and the second consecutive year that the High School is rated as Exemplary. Such designations cannot be achieved without the hard work and support of many individuals, beginning with teachers and students, but also including other District support staff, parents and community members and the Board of Trustees.
LOOKING FORWARD (from Principal Ramiro Moreno):
We are delighted in welcoming you and your child to what promises to be an exciting and successful 2010-2011 school year! We begin the new school year with high expectations as we work diligently to develop each and every student to his or her fullest potential and provide them the best possible educational environment for learning. This can only be accomplished through teamwork, a positive attitude and commitment from all students, staff and parents. Therefore, it is with great pride that I present to you our theme for this school year: “Together Everyone Achieves More.” (T.E.A.M. SPISD)
THANKS AGAIN, PARENTS AND STUDENTS, AND WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE MANY EVENTS THAT WE HAVE PLANNED FOR 2010-2011.
